Catherine LeHanka, M.Ed.
Resident in Counseling
I am a pre-licensed professional, having recently graduated with my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at George Mason University. I work with individuals and families across Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and outpatient levels of care, supporting clients with a range of mental health concerns including anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, trauma‑related challenges, and behavioral concerns.
I have experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, supporting inclusive classroom environments for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and assisting families with care coordination and access to community resources. My background allows me to view clients within the broader systems that influence emotional and behavioral well‑being.
I value creating a warm, supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered. My approach is client‑centered, strengths‑based, and trauma‑informed, integrating evidence‑based dialectical and cognitive‑behavioral strategies within a person‑centered framework tailored to each client’s needs, goals, and values. I work collaboratively with clients to build skills, foster resilience, and support growth and healing. I would be honored to support you during this stage of your journey.
